How To Guides
- Press the navigation UP/DOWN to move up or down the guide, line by line.
- Press the navigation LEFT/RIGHT to move forward or backward in the guide timeline.
- Press the MENU button to see advanced navigation options in the guide window.
- Select an episode in progress, select WATCH NOW to watch the channel or select recording options if available.
- Set up your recording or press BACK to go back to the guide
By pressing SELECT on your remote while in the guide mode, an option box will appear. You can choose from Watch Now, Create a series recording, Record the Program or view More info about the program such as the episode’s title, description and ratings.
From the Menu screen choose Settings > Guide. From here you can make changes to your guide menu such as scrolling animations, guide font size, and channels per page.
Change Guide Font Size
Adjusting the channels per page will change the font size of your Guide:
- 10 rows = smaller font
- 6 rows = larger font
Change the Display Size
To manage your settings, go to the Home screen and select the Settings gear icon.
From the Menu screen, choose Settings > Display. The Display tab allows you to adjust the screen size.
NOTE: Cloud DVR is available as an addon for $5/month
BEK EPIC IPTV records content via the cloud. This allows you to make unlimited recordings for 60 days. After 60 days, your recordings will expire unless saved in Favorites.
To record a series:
- Select Create Series Recording from the Guide Info Box options. From here you can modify your recording settings.
- In Series Recording Options you can choose where in the series you want to start recording, such as from the beginning or only new episodes.
- In Series Recording Options you can also choose which channels you want to record your programs from. The stop and start recording feature allows you to extend the stop and start time of a recorded program.
To record a specific episode:
You can also record a specific program without recording a whole series. To record a program from the Guide, select Record this program. From there, you can choose time and channel and when to stop and start your recording.
The Stop and Start recording feature allows you to extend the stop and start time of a recorded program.
My Shows: stores unlimited episodes for up to 60 days

Favorites: stores up to 200 episodes (not series) for up to 1 year
This feature allows BEK EPIC IPTV users the ability to go back in the guide and begin watching an episode that has aired in the past. The most popular channels allow you to go back 72 hours. Select channels up to 12 hours. *Greyed out grid programs are not available for Restart TV
Within the Guide, navigate back in time to find the episode you would like to watch. Select the episode and select “Restart this Program” to re-watch any program that is available on the Guide.
When you’re watching a show as it is broadcast, you’re watching live TV. You can watch live TV by selecting a in progress show from the Guide. As you change channels, you’ll see a status bar at the bottom of the screen. This bar contains useful information, like the show title, time of airing, channel, whether the show is in HD, and what’s up next.
Trickplay allows you to watch live TV with the benefits of pause live features. You can choose PAUSE, PLAY, and REWIND/FAST FORWARD up to 3X.
- First, press the PAUSE button. You can pause live TV for up to 15 minutes. When you pause live TV, you see a Trick Play bar showing the program’s duration. The blue segment shows the portion of the hour that has been saved by EPIC. The thick white line marks your current point in time. When the white line is back in the blue segment, you’re “behind” live TV.
- If you need to go grab popcorn for your favorite program, you can now press PLAY to continue watching the show. You can rewind and fast forward from the moment you pressed the PAUSE button up to the current time. Note: with Live TV you can only use Trickplay within the part of the show you have already watched in real time. So, if you change channels, you will be unable to rewind past the point you started watching on that specific channel.
- Press PLAY at any time to return to normal speed.
To manage your settings, go to the Home screen and select the Settings gear icon.
From the Menu screen, choose Settings > Network
Selecting the Network tab allows you to modify network settings such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
You can search for a specific program to record.
To Search:
- Click on a program within the guide.
- Navigate down to the Search function.
- Type in the program name you are looking for and click OK. From here you can set up recordings.

- Within your BEK EPIC IPTV App. Go to Settings > Network.
- Signal strength of 60% or greater is acceptable
- Link Speed rate of 80 MB or higher is acceptable
